LED Display Interface: What is, And Common Types!

What is the LED display interface? This post gives you the full guide!

Anyone who has installed LED displays knows that the requirements for full-color display quality are getting higher and higher.

After installation, the LED screen needs to install a corresponding interface to display video or high-definition pictures.

Many people don’t know what the LED display interfaces are.

The common frequency viewing connections of LED displays are mainly USB interface, AV input interface, VGA input interface, DVI input interface and HDMI input interface.

With the development of LED displays today, various display technologies based on display screens have also been born.

Used in different occasions and products to meet various display effects and needs. This has given rise to various LED display interfaces.

1. HDMI Interface

HDMI is a new generation of multimedia interface standard, the full name is High-Definition Multimedia nterface, which means high-definition multimedia interface in Chinese.

Like DV, it transmits all-digital signals. The difference is that HDMI can not only meet the resolution of 1080P, but also support digital audio formats.

That is to say, a cable can achieve synchronous transmission of video and audio. It can be said that the HDMI interface is an improvement of the DV interface, which is fully compatible with the DVI interface standard.

2. DisplayPort Interface

DisplayPort is a display interface published by VESA.

DP, as the successor to the DM1 interface, DislayPort will add support for high-definition audio signal transmission while transmitting video signals, while supporting higher resolution and refresh rate.

At a time when high-definition video is about to become popular, it is impossible to stand without a high-bandwidth display interface.

3. VGA Interface

VGA video graphics array, VGA interface, is a special interface for computers that use VGA standard output data, with a total of 15 pins, divided into 3 rows and 5 holes in each row.

It is the most widely used interface type on graphics cards. Most graphics cards have this interface.

It transmits red, green, blue analog signals and synchronous signals (horizontal and vertical signals).

4. USB Interface

Also known as the universal series interface, it can support hot-swappable and connect up to 127 PC external devices: USB1.0 and USB2.0 interface standards

5. DV Interface

The DV interface is larger than VGA, HDM1, DP and other interfaces, and is the main type of LED display interface at present.

DM can transmit digital signals without digital-analog conversion, so the picture quality is very high.

At present, there are two common DV interfaces: DV1-Diaital (DVI-D) and DVI-nteqrated (DV1-). DM-D only supports digital signals, while D V1- supports not only digital signals but also analog signals.

6. SDI Interface

SDI interface is the acronym of serial diital intertae.

Using the same cable and using the BNC interface as the cable standard.

In the process of turning the existing traditional analog framework system into a high-definition monitoring system, we do not need to rewire, but only need to replace the front-end and back-end parts, which will save huge time and labor costs for the project.
